This is an After Effects Tutorial to make a Watercolour material. Using this effect with track matte as a mask to create an organic animation.

  1. Make a watercolor texture in photoshop and save it as a png

2. Open AE, put watercolor texture inside

put in the AE

3. Create a solid layer

4. Go to “Effects & Presets” ->Generate — Circle -> Radius, Opacity -> color, Radius(minR, Max R) on the keyframe

5. “Effects & Presets” ->Distort - Turbulent Displace

5.1 Size and Amount-> make the shape more organic

6. “Effects & Presets” ->Roughen Edges ->make the shape more organic

6.1 Border->Edge Sharpness->Fractal influence->Scale

7. Put Watercolour in the composition

7.1 Select Track Matte as “Alpha Matte”(Reveal)” which is the layer in which we set up the effects.

7.2 Move Timeline Window

7.3 Go to Circle->Graph->Graphic Editor->Change the speed
